Expanded Graphite

Use Cases

Expanded Graphite

We offer expanded graphite, a material that has undergone expansion by heating, acquiring exceptional new properties through this process. It is now even more suitable for heat transfer, loses its lubricity, is easily compressible, and has a high specific surface area, making it an excellent sorbent.

Expanded graphite Thermographite EX 25 K +300 can be used as an adsorptive material. It is capable of effectively adsorbing petroleum substances, various chemical and toxic substances, especially acids and alcohols. It also adsorbs heavy metals, harmful gases, vegetable oils, and pollen from the air. It is used for cleaning up environmental accidents, in water filters, air filters, and for reducing radioactivity. Selected adsorption properties (substance / amount of expanded graphite used): motor oil – 52 g / 1 g, H3PO4 – 98 g / 1 g, cadmium – 280–320 mg / 1 kg, lead – 910–950 mg / 1 kg.

The quality of the product can be adjusted according to the input material and by setting the parameters of expansion.

Expandable graphite is also available in the form of compressed sealing rings and disks, as well as graphite foil, which is suitable, for example, for gasket manufacturing.
